Party Poker has just made the leap into another market where another nation full of eager online poker fans can get in on all the action. This time the country being blessed with Party Poker’s presence is France.
It only makes sense that Party Poker would be giving some of its action to France, since the country has given birth to many of the games rising stars, both online and off, including Betrand Grospellier (aka “Elky” online), and Antoine Saout, who made it to the final table of this past year’s 2009 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event. What’s more, both of these shining examples – Grospellier and Saout – got their start in online poker before making big gains in live poker. In fact, Antoine won his spot in the 2009 WSOP Main Event through a $5 online satellite qualifier.
In an interesting juxtaposition of online gambling activities, Party Poker France will also be teamed up with an online horse race betting site that members can hop over to for a change of action. What’s particularly nice about this type of cross platform online gambling is that, for experienced online poker players, the influx of horce race betting enthusiasts onto the online felt means heavy betters, lots of raises and calls and bluffs… in other words easy to beat. You don’t even have to be a poker shark to catch yourself some of these fish.
