2010 WSOP Schedule Released

World Series of Poker 2010The 2010 World Series of Poker schedule is now out and as always it includes mostly the familiar with a bit of change thrown in. As with this past 2009 WSOP, the 2010 series will be comprised of 57 events (and remember, that’s just the ones for gold bracelets).

As always, the series will culminate in the main event, in recent years what’s become known as the $10,000 Main Event, for the price of the direct buy-in. But don’t worry if that’s too steep for your wallet. Most of the major online poker sites offer satellites and qualifiers (many going on right now) awarding free seats into the 2010 World Series of Poker main event and other events.

Harrah’s will continue to host the World Series of Poker in its Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, only this time, because the event has drawn such packed houses of late, they’ll be using two rooms instead of one for all the hot poker action.

Some other changes in store for WSOP attendees this time around will be a $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. event instead of a $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. event, and where the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. event was will now be a $50,000 mixed games event comprised of 8 games. And the top prize still includes the Chip Reese Memorial trophy. For 2010 there will also be a high-rollers $25,000 6-max NL Hold’em event.

The 2010 World Series of Poker will take place between May 27 to July 17. The November Nine will then play the 2010 WSOP Main Event Final Table from November 6 to November 9.
