PokerStars is the King of the WSOP Experience

There's no poker site who over the years has sent more players to the WSOP $10,000 No Limit Hold'em World Championship than PokerStars. In fact, PokerStars has had more of its players win seats to the big tournament than all other poker sites combined. For those of us who have played at the WSOP, I can tell you that the thrill of playing there is almost unimaginable. So the thrill of just playing for a seat there is something quite special as well.
It's actually no accident that players winning seats to the WSOP have done very well. PokerStars is without a doubt the best training ground there is for you to improve your game and become good enough to not just go to the WSOP but actually do something there, and that something involves winning money, a lot of money in fact. Pretty much every player who has won a seat though PokerStars and has done well at the WSOP has credited playing at PokerStars as being a huge factor in their success.
There's certainly something to be said about playing in soft games, and PokerStars has plenty of those as well, but they also have plenty of games and tournaments that will provide you with the sort of challenges that you need to really improve. For this reason alone, I've always strongly recommended that my students open accounts at PokerStars and play in the more challenging games there at least fairly regularly, as if you plan on becoming a good player or even a very good player at some point, you will need to play against other good players to do it.
You don't even need a lot of money to compete for a seat at the World Series of Poker at PokerStars, They run tournaments with anywhere from very small buy-ins to very large ones, and no poker site even comes close to offering its players so many options to win a seat at the WSOP. You can even use your frequent player points that you earn from them just for playing there to enter qualifying tournaments. Winners receive the $10,000 buy-in, hotel accommodations, shuttle service to and from the event, spending money, and more. To say that PokerStars takes care of their players at the WSOP would be an understatement.
