Added Poker Tournaments

First of all, let's talk about the definition of an added poker tournament. An added poker tournament is a tournament with extra seed money added to the prize pool. The buy-in amounts are added to the prize pool inclusive the added amount, opposite to guaranteed tournaments where the prize pool will only be increased with the buy-ins when the guaranteed amount is matched.

For instance, a $100 added tourney with the buy-in of $1.10 and 20 participating players will have a total pot of $120. The $0.10 fee per player goes to the online poker room for hosting the event, that's how they make their profit.

The difference between freerolls and added tournaments at first sight is definitely the buy-in. But what's really better, the level of game play is much more serious because the people at the tables have actually spent some real money to be able to play - so that's a lot less all-ins with A-x you'll be facing!

Here at Poker For Free we like these added tournaments much better than freerolls. You probably don't agree if you're a beginning poker player, but trust me… it will be just a matter of time. In fact, if I personally knew about added tournaments when I started playing poker, I would have probably made a sport out of it locating the passwords, as the value lies in the low amount of participators.

For the near future we're developing a Poker Club League in cooperation with Noble Poker. There will be a leaderboard, and (monthly) rewards will be given to the participators. You can earn points when joining our weekly added tourneys. I have to say, things look promising, and I can't wait to get this thing started.

Rake Race
