Last week we brought you word of the upcoming PokerStars 2010 WCOOP or World Championship of Online Poker, taking place in September. Seats to many 2010 WCOOP events will be awarded, including seats in the September 26th $5,200 WCOOP 2010 Main Event.
Players have until September 14 to login to their PokerStars account (or sign up for one) and take the WCOOP Poker Quiz. The WCOOP Poker Quiz includes questions about the WCOOP, about members of Team PokerStars Pro, and the various PokerStars tours (like the EPT, NAPT, ANZPT, LAPT, etc.). The first player to answer all of the questions correctly will win a free seat in the 2010 WCOOP Main Event.
All players who answer at least 90% of the questions correctly will win an exclusive entry into a PokerStars WCOOP Poker Quiz tournament to be held on September 18 in which seats in other WCOOP events (or rather, WCOOP seats of varying dollar amounts that you can apply as you desire) will be awarded. Again the top prize is a 2010 PokerStars WCOOP Main Event seat. Second prize is a $2,100 seat; third through sixth are $1,050 seats; seventh is a $530 seat; eighth is a $320 seat; and ninth is a $215 seat.
The total amount up for grabs in this year's PokerStars WCOOP is a $50 million in guaranteed prize pool.
Players can only enter the PokerStars WCOOP Poker Quiz once, and it is only their first entry made while logged into their account that will count as their one and only entry for that account. The entire quiz must be completed in one sitting; you cannot save your work for later. Tie-breaker questions have been prepared in case of a tie. Prize cannot, of course, be exchanged, sold, or transferred. And all the judge's decisions are final.
