PKR Celebrates 4 Years with Version 2.0 Software

PKR Poker - Version 2.0 Software
Version 2.0 Software

PKR Poker has just celebrated its 4th anniversary (or 4th birthday, depending on how you prefer to look at it), having launched in August of 2006, and in celebration of this laudable occasion, the world's only three-dimensional poker site is releasing a timely update to their poker software with a whole slew of new features and functions.

Apparently a full year in the making, PKR Poker Version 2.0 introduces a new user interface (or player interface, rather) that streamlines use to be simpler and faster, and a new multi-table interface that permits players to sit in at as many as 9 tables at the same time. Of course players must be warned that their system must be able to support such a graphics-heavy experience as, after all, PKR is a 3D poker experience.

The new version 2.0 of the PKR Poker software also includes a new feature called the Game Finder Wizard. Just as it sounds, this handy tool makes it simpler than ever to find just the right table to meet your needs and desires.

Other new features of the PKR Poker software version 2.0 are convenient graphs of players' tournament chip stack, brand new table layout designs and user options for the bet button. Along with the new features and functions of the PKR version 2.0 software are the return of player favorites like body language and expressions in player avatars, poker tells, and chip tricks.

Considering itself a community based poker site, PKR says the improvements in the software update are the result of feedback from PKR players.

PKR Poker currently boasts almost 3 and 3/4 million players and holds about $3 million in freeroll tournaments monthly.

This comes at a good time for the site as it just announced the return of its PKR Live event with PKR Live V (or PKR Live 5) in September, 2010. See our earlier post on the subject for more information.
