This September, 2010, Party Poker will be introducing a new promotion called The Snowball, promising players the chance to "Pick up some cold, hard cash".
The Snowball
The Snowball is so named because, unlike other tiered competitions where you have to give up one prize to advance to a higher level and claim its better prize, when you win a prize in the Snowball promotion, you get to keep it. Keep advancing up levels and heap prizes upon prizes, with the possibility of earning up to 15 prizes in all. And when we say "prizes" what we mean is cash. Well, cash and free entries into exclusive freerolls for more cash prizes.
The contest is simple. It's a points race, with no opponents to race other than the clock. Earn as many PartyPoints as you can at Party Poker real money online poker tables between the dates of September 1 and September 30.
Range of points levels in the Party Poker Snowball promotion is from 5 PartyPoints to 50,000 PartyPoints. Cash prize levels range from $20 to $1,500 (building to a $5,000 max when factored cumulatively) and the freeroll entry prizes range from $5,000 to $50,000.
At first, earning between 5 and 499 PartyPoints you'll be collecting a pool of increasingly rewarding freeroll entries. At 500 PartyPoints, you get your first cash prize added to your bundle. Top prize, which as many players can win as can meet the requirements, is $5,000 plus 5 freeroll entries worth a total of $100,000 ($5K, $10, $15K, $20K, and $50K).
Cash prizes will be determined and awarded within a few days after the end of the promotion. The dates of the exclusive Snowball freerolls will be as follows:
- October 4, $5K Freeroll
- October 5, $10K Freeroll
- October 6, $15K Freeroll
- October 7, $20K Freeroll
- October 8, $50K Freeroll
All Snowball freeroll tournaments start at 2:30 pm ET.
