The PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker is coming up again for a ninth go-round, and in preparation for big event, one of PokerStars' (and the world's) biggest online poker tournaments of the year, the site will be holding a full slate of satellite tournaments into the various WCOOP events. And these aren't just any satellites either; they're Extreme Satellites.
The Ninth PokerStars WCOOP Extreme Satellites start on August 21 and run thrice each day up through August 29. Two of each day's three Extreme Satellites are in No Limit Hold'em while the other might be any of a variety of poker variants, including: Limit Hold'em, Pot Limit Omaha, 8 Game Mixed, Omaha Hi/Lo, and Five Card Draw. "Pot odds" at these PokerStars WCOOP IX Extreme Satellites are higher than ever, giving players their absolute best chances of winning a WCOOP IX seat for as little as $5.50.

What makes these satellites so extreme? It's that the guaranteed prize pool at each of these events is either 25 or 50 tournament tickets into the WCOOP IX. Ticket values at each tournament vary, so for example you may see an Extreme Satellite with a prize pool of 25 seats worth $109 each, or 50 seats worth $320 each, etc.
A few of the tournaments on the WCOOP IX Extreme Satellite schedule stand out. On August 26 at 5 pm ET there's a $55 No Limit Hold'em Extreme Satellite for 25 seats worth $1,050. On August 28 is a $109 Pot Limit Omaha event offering 25 seats worth $2,100. And on August 29 is a $260 No Limit Hold'em event offering 25 seats worth $5,200 each. In all, the PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker IX Extreme Satellites offer $500,000 of added value.
The daily schedule of World Championship of Online Poker Extreme Satellites at PokerStars between August 21 and 29 has tournaments at 2 pm, 5 pm, and 8 pm ET.
