Last week we brought you word of the start of Full Tilt Poker's various satellites and qualifiers into the World Series of Poker 2010 Main Event in a broad bush-stroke overview style. Today we'll look a little closer at some of those happening now that you can take advantage of for your free $10,000 seat in the next WSOP Main Event.
$1 Main Event Seats
Probably the hottest ticket - or at least the cheapest - is the $1 Main Event Seat. Every Sunday at 13:30 ET (18:30 GMT) starting April 4 and running through June 27, Full Tilt Poker will be awarding at least 5 prize packages into the 2010 WSOP Main Event, each package worth $12K.
Direct buy-in into the Full Tilt Poker $1 Main Event Seat qualifiers are actually $1.10, although you can qualify for even cheaper, with satellites into the $1 Main Event Seat events going for as low as 30 FTPs or 30 cents. From the look of things in the Full Tilt lobby, all of the $1 Main Event Seat tournaments are Turbo poker events.
Daily Shootouts
Also running now are Daily WSOP Shootouts, 81-player events running up until June 27. Players have two opportunities every day to win a free $12K 2010 WSOP Main Event prize package, scheduled for 15:30 ET (20:30 GMT) and 21:30 ET (02:30 GMT) daily. Buy-ins range from $216 direct to $1 or 50 FTPs by satellite.
The difference between shootouts and regular MTTs, by the way, is that players are not shuffled around to keep play balanced but rather players are simply knocked out Sit 'n Go style. Then the last player standing from each shootout faces off against the others.
Stay tuned this week for Part II of this in-depth look at Full Tilt Poker's many chances going on now to win a free seat in the 2010 WSOP Main Event.
