It's time for us online poker bloggers to put our money where our mouths are. If you're a fellow online poker blogger reading this, then you too might want to register for the upcoming PokerStars 2010 World Blogger Championship of Online Poker. Especially because you don't even have to put your money anywhere but back in your pocket, since entry is completely free online poker.
Creators and sponsors of the World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) and the Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP), PokerStars hasn't had a World Blogger Championship of Online Poker (WBCOOP) since 2008.
Only poker bloggers with a online poker blog active for at least two months prior to entry qualify for entry into the 2010 WBCOOP. But if you do qualify, as mentioned above, there is no buy-in or registration fee.
The 2010 WBCOOP, as with PokerStars' other big online poker tournament series', has several prelim events (in this case, six) all leading up to the 2010 WBCOOP Main Event. The 6 prelim events run January 25 - 30 with the main event taking place January 31.
Winners of 2010 WBCOOP events will get seats worth varying amounts into the 2010 SCOOP or Step satellite events into the 2010 SCOOP. The top prize, of course, will be a full 2010 SCOOP Main Event seat.
Additional 2010 SCOOP seats and 2010 SCOOP Step satellite event seats will be given out throughout the 2010 WBCOOP to the bloggers who publish the best blog posts and Tweets during the week of competition.
