Full Tilt Poker Mini FTOPS XIV

Full Tilt Poker's 14th Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS XIV) may be behind us, but the Mini-FTOPS XIV hasn't even started yet. It's all set to begin at Full Tilt Poker on December 9 and run through the 20th, with a total guaranteed prize pool of $4 million up for grabs.

Anybody who participated in the FTOPS XIV will find the schedule for its lower-stakes companion series very familiar, because it contains all the same events, scheduled in the same order. The only difference is that they've got 1/10th of the buy-in. What's nice, you might also notice, is that the $4 million guaranteed prize pool is a lot more than 1/10th the $20 million total prize pool awarded at the FTOPS XIV, which seems to make the Mini-FTOPS XIV the better value.

As with its big brother, at the Mini-FTOPS XIV there will be a 2-day event, starting December 19, this time with a $256 buy-in and a $400,000 guaranteed prize pool. The main event, taking place December 20, only has a $55 buy-in, and the total prize pool is $600,000.

In addition to the 25 events making up the Mini-FTOPS XIV, there will also be a few side opportunities to win some extra bonus cash, including a MiniFTOPS XIV leader board with a top prize worth $7,500 comprised of free entries into every FTOPS XV event except for the 2-day event. It also includes a collection of MiniFTOPS XIV Challenges, 4 in all - the Satellite Seat Challenge, the Hold-em Challenge, the Survivor Challenge, and the Double Up Challenge.

There's still time to satellite your way into the Full Tilt Poker Mini-FTOPS XIV, with buy-ins starting at 50 FTPs or $0.50.
