Full Tilt Online Poker Series XIII
With the World Series of Poker coming to a close Full Tilt Poker has announced FTOPS XIII, which is the newest instalment of the successful FTOPS poker series'. FTOPS XIII begins on August 5th and concludes on August 16th after 12 days of intense poker action and at least $16 Million of cash being won. Over the 12 days of action, 25 FTOPS XIII events will be played and 25 gold FTOPS jerseys will be awarded. FTOPS XIII will also have a leader board where you can follow your progress, the popular satellite challenge promotion and a new FTOPS challenges section. The month after FTOPS XIII has completed MiniFTOPS XIII will begin with the same 25 events being held with buy-ins 1/10th the size. MiniFTOPS XIII is great for players with smaller bankrolls to enjoy their own personal online poker series.
The 25 events of FTOPS XIII cover a wide variety of poker games and buy-ins. The lowest buy-ins are in the $100 range, while the largest buy-in is the $2500 two day event. There are a ton of different tournaments as well including a few standard hold'em and Omaha tournaments, as well as a heads up pot limit Omaha tourney, 2 no limit hold'em shootouts, no limit hold'em and pot limit Omaha heads up tourneys, a razz tournament, a stud tournament, a HORSE tournament and more. You are sure to find a game to your liking in FTOPS XIII.
The added prizes for FTOPS XIII are the same as they have been for the past few FTOPS series'. Every player who reaches the final table of a FTOPS XIII tourney will receive a FTOPS jacket and if you win a tournament you receive a limited-edition gold FTOPS jersey to go along with your jacket. The top finisher on the FTOPS XIII leaderboard wins a custom Full Tilt avatar, as well as a free entry into every FTOPS XIV event, which is worth about $7.5K. The MiniFTOPS prizes are basically the same except the winner's jersey is silver instead of gold.
FTOPS Satellites
The popular FTOPS satellite challenge is back in full swing for FTOPS XIII. The FTOPS XIII satellite challenge basically awards three free entries to every FTOPS XIII event. If you are able to win the most satellites into one of the FTOPS events you win the equivalent of 2 event buy-ins in Full Tilt tournament dollars and if you finish second on one of the FTOPS satellite challenge leader boards you win the equivalent of 1 buy-in in tournament dollars.
Full Tilt is also adding a new promotion to this FTOPS series, with the addition of the FTOPS Challenges section. A challenge will be an in game task you need to complete such as turning $1 into a $26 satellite coupon. There will be prizes for completing these tasks, such as FTOPS and MiniFTOPS event entries and more.
The MiniFTOPS
The inclusion of a MiniFTOPS series was a great move by Full Tilt Poker because by offering all of the same events as FTOPS XIII at 1/10th the buy-in, they are able to reach a completely different demographic of online poker player. The events will take place about a month after the FTOPS series has completed with the series scheduled to run from September 9th to 20th. MiniFTOPS XIII will have the exact same 25 events and will be guaranteeing $3 Million for the series. This goes to show that Full Tilt will be expecting about twice as many players to participate in MiniFTOPS XIII as FTOPS XIII.
Overall, both the FTOPS XIII and MiniFTOPS XIII poker series' will be a lot of fun for every player involved. The opportunity to win big cash prizes, as well as the coveted gold and silver jerseys is sure to bring out a lot of players and ensure that the newest FTOPS instalment is another success.
